Tucked away near Salut and Manchester Town Hall, Nine is an inconspicuous place with plenty of personality hidden away behind the front door. Kate W suggested we go in for a drink and make the most of their prosecco for £10 before 9pm offer, and who am I to say no?
We managed to bag a table for two under the stairs (quite literally) just before people started streaming in, presumably from the switching on of the Christmas lights. The interior reminds me a lot of Sandinista; in fact, the whole experience did. Relaxed, casual, but with a good selection of drinks and attention paid to the cocktails being made.
As well as our bottle of prosecco we shared some chilli nachos and fries for 'nibbles'. Overall we only spent around £16 for an excellent Friday night drink and bite to eat which, for the location and quality of aforementioned food and drink (and service) seems more than fair.
I'm sure we'll be making the most of the £10 offer while it still stands and make the effort to visit again in the future.
